Homecoming Week Oct 2-8

Homecoming Week!
You know, I have never really been horribly invested in homecoming week and this time was no different. But props to our student government who made this one of the most fun activity filled week ever!

Oh the joys of snapchat filters. Thanks Alayna!

My psychology class is my favorite this semester! Our teacher is so fun and for 5 minutes of class he passed everyone a ping pong ball and had us all blow air to make them float in the air. HAHA

Our weather can't make up its mind. Its the beginning of the October and HOT! But Monday was the first cooler day. One of the only cold days of the week actually! But our house was so cold that I came home and Alayna, after cooking something in the oven, was just sitting in front of it. Sitting on the floor eating dinner in our kitchen is a regular occurrence.

Look at this creative art project at work!

Wednesday was National Taco Day!! Alayna and I could NOT pass that up! We walked over to Dominos which is in the same parking lot as Donny T's to talk to our friends Kevin and Jahren who were working. Maybe you aren't suppose to distract people who are working.. but I think they appreciated our hellos!

So there were goats. and dogs. Thats right! I was sitting in class and start to get all these snapchats of people with goats. I go outside and they have brought Goats and Dogs to campus as a stress reliever! It was sooo cute!

Also, sometimes you just need to dress cute but mega comfortable to cope with your day!

One of my favorite spots in our house is our covered porch. It was so pretty outside I just had to sit out there and eat my cereal for dinner :)

Let's just take a moment to sit and marvel at my favorite tree I get to walk by every morning.

Thursday night was the Accolade concert. They decided to perform in front of Main Hall and it was a lot of fun! I love knowing everyone singing and being able to cheer loud for them. After the concert I went with some friends on a late night Cook Out run, where we blasted All I want for Christmas on the way home. That's what I tiny bit of cold does for ya.

Friday was the Homecoming Orchestra and Choir concert. It was the first concert here at SVU I haven't sung in and it was relieving and kind of sad. I was able to go up and sing Shenandoah with everyone thought which was wonderful!

After the show everyone stuck around for a giant Shenanigans show. They never fail to make me laugh!

Afterwords Alayna and I went to Sheetz to get some food. When we arrived we noticed an entire trashcan full of donuts! We were so upset we went and asked if we could have them. They informed us that they were stale so we might not want them. We walked away... we think it might have been a mistake.

Saturday our warm and beautiful weather continued. They threw a tailgate party before the Football game complete with face paint, hot dogs, a live band, and bubble ball. We won the football game! In fact we crushed the football game!

We debated back and forth for a while if we should go to the homecoming dance or not. I really just wanted to sit and watch Pride and Prejudice haha! But we ended up going. It wasn't the best... but the greatest part was they had a whole donut table!! YAY for finally getting free donuts!

Sunday was such a healing day. I had a kind of frustrating week. I was upset at people and my expectations for them. I was confused at some things that have happened and why people were acting certain ways. But God is good. And I had so many tender mercies this week.

I went and took pictures with Rachel and Alayna. It was sweet and fast and man am I grateful for these two!

We had a fireside with Bruce R. Olsen and his Wife. It was a multi stake fireside held in the SVU Arena. They shared stories of Gods Divine Design and encounters with the apostles and prophets. I loved it! It was so sweet to hear more about the personalities of these inspired and amazing men.

And there were brownies the size of my hand.

Also they had so many, I saw no problem when Kaipo asked if he could sneak an entire box out.

I don't know exactly where Im going or what Im doing, but I know God is very aware of me. From friends that listen to promptings, sweet text messages, train whistles, housemates, songs, rain, classes cancelled, and changing leaves, he is watching out for each of us! Don't brush past or drag through the season of life you are in. God needs you now. God needs you where you are, at this moment, TODAY. He wants us to choose him and to become the person he needs us to become in this precise moment. We might be waiting on the Lord, but he could be waiting on us. So grateful for my Savior who leads the way and for a loving Heavenly Father who answers prayers. :)
