I decided for 2018 my word is
ADVENTURE.
And let me tell ya, New York was the greatest first 2018 adventure ever!
After finding out my flight got canceled, frantically rescheduling it, and ending up on the same flight as the other Lambert's, we were off!
We landed very early in the morning to a full on blizzard! Getting to our hotel, dragging suitcases with snow flying down, I couldn't stop laughing! It was so crazy!!!
We went to the M&M Store bright and early and found out the answer to a very important question: What is your mood color?
We ate breakfast, danced, laughed, trudged through the snow, and ended at the New York museum. I loved this museum! We spent hours wandering the four floors of history, art, and fashion. It was great!
We also napped anywhere and everywhere.
DEAR EVAN HANSEN.
Yes, I bawled. Sobbed. I could not control myself when intermission came. I was crying so hard and laughing at the fact that I was crying so hard. The usher came over to check in on me and informed me that I thought I was crying now, wait till the end. I literally could not stop crying HAHA! It was beautiful!
I cannot get over the beauty of the city. I will always love New York.
Unfortunately Liz's flight was canceled and she wasn't able to join us :(
We mastered the hurry and walk from building to building to escape the cold! We went to a museum by the temple! We also headed the giant National History Museum where we all took a nap under the whale. It was great!
Because Liz's flight was canceled (:( ) I recieved her ticket to see the new exciting show called The Bands Visit. I knew nothing about this show. I sat there and looked at the completely drab set and thought "alright...?"
The show doesn't have an intermission, its only about an hour and 40 minutes maybe. I sat there when it ended and I could not decide how I felt about it. I would like to report, I haven't stopped thinking about it now. It is a truly beautiful show! The music is captivating, and the stories about love and acceptance are truly beautiful. There are also plenty of laughs! Its a great show!
After getting autographs, we all headed to the Empanada Mama! SO GOOD! I love that place!
Karma headed back to the hotel with me so I could pack.
I left super super early the next morning and managed to get myself to the airport all by myself! Quite the adventure!
Thank you again to Reid's family for the constant laughs and exciting adventures!!!! Its always so much fun and I feel so much love!
Also, anyone going to New York...please take me with you!
