We're Going to be Famous! October 16-22

I was super excited to pick up my package the other day! I can't wait to sit and read! I don't need to write my senior paper right..?

I have been loving going to the Women's Volleyball games. They have been playing really really well and its always fun to sit by members of the guys team. They keep things interesting!

Tuesday night after the game I went to the library and my friend Sarah Foster and I decided that if I could write my whole paper by 11pm we would go to Ihop to get food and hot chocolate. We accomplished all the things, picked up Emma, and off we went!

Thursday was Alex Boyé music video time! They had been filming different segments throughout the week and Thursday we were all told to come to the fields. It was a blessing that I had work off Thursday and Friday! It was an interesting experience.... and also really hot outside! But we got a free t-shirt and CHICK-FI-LAE! Thats why I was there.... haha just kidding.

Sarah Foster came over afterwords and we all got talking in Alayna's room. Somehow that ended in Sarah and I going and picking up Curry from Lexington. It was delicious! :)

Friday Alex Boyé spoke and performed at forum. It was cool to hear him talk about his experience. I love when we have visitors on our campus and who meet and work with the people here. They never fail to mention how special it all feels.

Alayna and I went to Kroger which then lead us to Don Tequila's. What can we say? We just really love Mexican Food.

That night I got to babysit Ewan and Cecily Rasmussen! We went on a walk to Ice Slice, the new ice cream place in town, and then came home and watched Big Hero 6. I adore these children! What a blessing it is that I get to know them and learn from them.

Saturday it took me 5 minutes to work up the courage to do a somersault.

Alayna and I also went on a lovely little adventure in Lexington! The school I work at has a beautiful trail you can walk along. We walked on that for a while, climbed around, found some deer, and blasted music. It was great!

Did everyone know that Walnuts look like this? They have this weird fruity outside that you peal away. Its weird!

Sunday we had stake conference held in the SVU Arena. It was a little weird, but there were some great talks! There was an awesome one on motherhood and prayer which I loved! The Stake Relief Society Presidency fed the Presidencies lunch afterwords and it was delicious!

Alayna and I watched Pride and Prejudice. That movie just heals my soul. We then went to hymns on a hill and ended up walking over to the church building to meet my friend Chalae. We all sat down right in the middle of the parking lot and just talked! Our friend Tyler joined us at one point and we had some spiritual and funny and uplifting conversations. People kept driving by thinking we were crazy haha!

It was a crazy week from being in a music video, to babysitting. I have done a lot of thinking recently. Its like my heart has stopped but my brain keeps working on overdrive. There is a balance to wanting to help those around you that are struggling, while also making sure its the right thing for your friendships and relationships. All I can say is Pray. Lots and lots and lots of prayer.

Here are some quotes from this week that I really love!

"The more we obsess about our difficulties, our struggles, and our doubts, and our fears, the more difficult things can become". -Dieter F. Uchtdorf

"Our Heavenly Father, who gives us so much to delight in, also knows that we learn and grow and become stronger as we face and survive the trials through which we must pass. We know that there are times when we will experience heart breaking sorrow, when we will grieve, and when we may be tested to our limits. however, such difficulties allow us to change for the better, to rebuild our lives in the way our Heavenly Father teaches us, and to become something different from what we were-better than we were, more understanding than we wre, more empathetic than we were, with stronger testimonies than we had before". -Thomas S. Monsen

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning". -Gordon B. Hinckley
