Homecoming! October 5-11

Monday we had a good day. FHE was fun! I sat in with a group that did a quiz game on Conference. Can we just pause for a moment and reflect again on how AMAZING Conference was!

Tuesday I went to dinner and than Reva asked if I wanted to go to the girls soccer game. So off we went. The girls played hard but lost. Somehow another HRA couple, the Tuttles, and Reva and I all went to Sheetz and got hot chocolate to warm up. Then we came back to school and watched the first half of the men's game. I ended up in Reva's room doing homework till almost 1 in the morning. It wasn't the most productive thing in the world... unless you count our Wicked sing-a-long as being productive.

Wednesday's are always the craziest days! I ran around to classes, and then took a girl to the doctor, and then came back to school, and then had dinner and my late class. Once I got back from that, half my hall ended in my room! We had a party! I really love my job!

Thursday I found out I was on the ballot for Miss SVU or homecoming royalty. I didn't want it.. haha! It was a beautiful foggy morning though!

Friday was the start of all the Homecoming excitement! We had our Homecoming choir and orchestra concert! It went really well! One of our voice teachers sang Bring Him Home with the orchestra and it was really awesome! After that Anna, Genny and I all watched Ella Enchanted. That movie is perfection! It is so great!!!!

Saturday was a crazy day full of running around! I went to breakfast to help Jared with some homework. I went into town to watch Anna dance with the irish dance club. Then we walked around all the booths set up for mountain days! I came up and spent time in Emma's room which led to the start of "Emma and Lauren's day of adventure!" We went to this amazing restaurant in Lexington than rushed back to the football game where I had to be there for the announcement of the homecoming royalty. (Kadee and Cody won! Yay!) Than Emma and I went and got gelato in Lexington and sat and ate it at this pretty park. We came back and Emma has a projector in her room, so we bought a whole bunch of treats and watched Women in Gold. It was AWESOME! Yay art!!!! Then we got ready for the Homecoming Dance. It was a great day!!

I know I have said it in almost every blog post this semester... but Sunday's are the best things ever! I love my bishop and ward council. We started training on making the sabbath a delight. It was amazing and I will be shocked if my bishop does not become a general authority someday! He is the most poetic speaker EVER! Sacrament meeting was amazing as was sunday school and relief society! I just love church!
