The fastest week ever! Oct 19-25

Monday I had to say goodbye to Mom and Camille! It was kind of sad, but i'm so glad that they were able to come out. I had a good day though over all!

Tuesday I hung out in the Rogers apartment that night attempting to do homework.... it didn't go horribly well. Haha.

I have been struggling a little bit about some stuff so I got a blessing from my home teacher on Wednesday. It was amazing! The gospel is SO true everyone!! I just love it. I also had a good late class and everything was great!

Thursday I just kind of bounced around. I sat in the art hallway and worked on some homework and I worked the dinning hall and then did room checks. I went to dinner with one of my girls at subway and then ate again at a Mexican restaurant in town with another one of my girls! It also was just such a pretty night!!

Friday I worked the dinning hall in the morning and it was cold! We had a wonderful forum where Hank Smith spoke. He spoke all about being of good cheer and how that is a commandment! It was awesome!! I then went and helped swipe again for lunch because the second RA couldn't be there. I went to spanish and then Cody and I had to run to Walmart to get decorations and candy for the Lofts trick or treat that evening. We had a great time and then we decorated the whole Lofts in about 45 minutes. The kids arrived and they were about the cutest things ever! After that activity, I organized my closet and then went to bed at 10:30.. it was awesome!

Saturday I went to a school Leadership Retreat that was put on. It was so good! We had two speakers and some group activities. It was super fun and I learned a lot about being a leader and what's important. It was just super great! Afterwords I hung out with Kadee in her room and we decided that we should go out to eat. We went to the taco place. So good. Afterwords I dropped Kadee off and then went back to Lexington because I was going to The Rockbridge Symphony Orchestra concert. There are a few people from our school in it, including John John, and it was great! There last song was a Wicked Medley. It was.. wicked! haha. But really it was super great! Afterwords I hung out in Reva's room and then went on a drive at like midnight. It was great!

Sunday was stake conference which was good. They focused a lot on prayer and the importance of your patriarchal blessing. After I FaceTimed my family, ate, and then hid in my old room (which is now the hide out room because no one is in there) to work on homework. I then got caught in Reva's room and my homework really didn't get done... but it was good! Oh Kadee and I went on a walk to the fields where we could see all the leaves!

Mom and Camille! October 12-18

Monday was kind of a rough day. Kadee and Jeremiah and I did go on an adventure to Lexington though! FHE was good. And Fall is coming!!

Tuesday was the temple trip. I drove a full car of girls. I ended up not going into the temple. I spent the day at the visitors center and I got to watch Meet the Mormons! That is a really great movie. It made me remember all the good the gospel brings. We ate lunch at Cafe Rio and then drove home. I ended up in Reva's apartment doing homework then I went with Cody Rogers while he drove the dorm loop shuttle for a bit because I wanted to vent! HAHA

Writing this post makes me really want Cafe Rio again!

Wednesday was a good day! Like a really good day! I just felt good about a lot of things. It was my longest day because I had my late class but it was good! Kadee and I did spend a few hours doing homework and people watching in the rocking chairs on main hall. It was so nice outside!

Thursday was another good day! I ran around all day going to classes, doing homework, working the caf, and taking John John to Lexington to pick up his car. I also wore the same shoes as my friend Kat. She is awesome!

Friday was fun because it was the day that Mom and Camille showed up! They came after my classes were done and we walked around campus and then went to my room. We ate in the dinning hall and then we went to Walmart to buy stuff for the hall hang out we were having that night. We had a relaxing nail party which was a blast! Mom and Camille left about 9:30 and my girls didn't leave till I kicked them out at midnight! So fun though!

Here are some of my cute girls!

Saturday I went and picked up Mom and Camille at their hotel and we were off to Lexington for food, walking, food, walking, and more food! We got delicious tacos and ate lunch at the park. Then we walked to the gelato place! Then to a bakery and around W&L campus! It was so pretty outside and really fun! We went back to Mom's hotel so we could all take a nap :) It was the best! Then we went to dinner at cook-out! I dropped them back at the hotel and I came back to school to go to an RA activity. We decorated cookies and watched Hocus Pocus! Man, I love the RA's!

(Mom has most of the pictures... So I will have to get those)

I had ward council and then wen to lunch on Sunday. Mom and Camille came to church with me. It was a really good Sunday! We came back to my room and then ate dinner in the dining hall. We then decided to go on the parkway and then come back to my home. Reva and Cody came up to talk to Mom and after about two hours they went back to their hotel. I ended up going to Cody and Reva's house and sat and watched the last Harry Potter on TV. That movie is so great!

Im so happy Mom and Camille could be here this weekend! It was so much fun to have the see my home and meet my SVU family! I truly love it here! And I love Mom and Camille!

Homecoming! October 5-11

Monday we had a good day. FHE was fun! I sat in with a group that did a quiz game on Conference. Can we just pause for a moment and reflect again on how AMAZING Conference was!

Tuesday I went to dinner and than Reva asked if I wanted to go to the girls soccer game. So off we went. The girls played hard but lost. Somehow another HRA couple, the Tuttles, and Reva and I all went to Sheetz and got hot chocolate to warm up. Then we came back to school and watched the first half of the men's game. I ended up in Reva's room doing homework till almost 1 in the morning. It wasn't the most productive thing in the world... unless you count our Wicked sing-a-long as being productive.

Wednesday's are always the craziest days! I ran around to classes, and then took a girl to the doctor, and then came back to school, and then had dinner and my late class. Once I got back from that, half my hall ended in my room! We had a party! I really love my job!

Thursday I found out I was on the ballot for Miss SVU or homecoming royalty. I didn't want it.. haha! It was a beautiful foggy morning though!

Friday was the start of all the Homecoming excitement! We had our Homecoming choir and orchestra concert! It went really well! One of our voice teachers sang Bring Him Home with the orchestra and it was really awesome! After that Anna, Genny and I all watched Ella Enchanted. That movie is perfection! It is so great!!!!

Saturday was a crazy day full of running around! I went to breakfast to help Jared with some homework. I went into town to watch Anna dance with the irish dance club. Then we walked around all the booths set up for mountain days! I came up and spent time in Emma's room which led to the start of "Emma and Lauren's day of adventure!" We went to this amazing restaurant in Lexington than rushed back to the football game where I had to be there for the announcement of the homecoming royalty. (Kadee and Cody won! Yay!) Than Emma and I went and got gelato in Lexington and sat and ate it at this pretty park. We came back and Emma has a projector in her room, so we bought a whole bunch of treats and watched Women in Gold. It was AWESOME! Yay art!!!! Then we got ready for the Homecoming Dance. It was a great day!!

I know I have said it in almost every blog post this semester... but Sunday's are the best things ever! I love my bishop and ward council. We started training on making the sabbath a delight. It was amazing and I will be shocked if my bishop does not become a general authority someday! He is the most poetic speaker EVER! Sacrament meeting was amazing as was sunday school and relief society! I just love church!
